A Maine black bear approaches the wildlife camera, as it is mounted to a tree in a small clearing in the Petra, Maine woods. In the beginning of the video, you can see the bear's head as it gets into position, then uses the wildlife camera as a backscratcher. I swear that the bear has a mischievous look on his face as he gets into postion. Once his back has been scratched, the bear apparently leaves the area, as this is the only video that the camera recorded on this day.

I believe this is the same bear that has found my camera at every location in the woods that I have placed it. If so, it is the same bear that has attacked the camera a couple of times, and gummed up the lens another time with his nose. Now he uses it to scratch his back.

Thu, 11 Aug 2011 03:00:58 -0400 http://www.petramainewildlife.com/061911-videos/061911-173143.html bear backscratchervideo of black bear scratching back on camerablack bear scratching backbackscratcherblack bear videomaine black bearpetra mainewildlife camerawildlife photoswildlife photographymischievous bear
