At the end of this video, you can see the moose walking off. Since no more videos were taken tonight, the moose apparently doesn't come back.

In this brief video, I was afraid the moose was going to take an eye out with that stripped sapling. He's still trying to figure the camera out.

The moose is intrigued, but not at all frightened, by the wildlife camera. This is not the same moose that we saw closely inspecting the camera in another location on another day in Petra, Maine.

The wildlife camera is capable of taking either infrared or flash photography at night, but it doesn't always choose the option that I would prefer it to use. In this brief video, the flash from the camera partly obscures the moose, since the animal has gotten very close to the camera.

Here we see what was likely responsible for moving the sapling about. A moose is wondering what a camera is doing in a cedar swamp. For those who have not been following this from the beginning, I am using a Primos Truth Cam 35 wildlife camera, which has been mounted to trees in various parts of the one hundred acres of Petra, Maine. The camera can take still photos or ten-second video clips, day or night. Activated by a combination of movement and body heat, I do get some photos and clips in which I cannot find an animal, but sometimes I find the critter after close examination.

In this short video, it is just after midnight on July 29, 2011. The wildlife camera is mounted to a tree on the edge of a small clearing near the cedar swamp. In this short video, all that you will see are some flying insects, although it appears that something is moving the stripped sapling at the bottom left of the screen.
