The black bear continues to be interested in whatever it is that he's smelling on the ground. The last bear that we saw yesterday may have been a different bear, as it looks somewhat different to me. On the other hand, both bears are roughly the same size and I can't get a grasp on whatever it is that tells me that it may be a different bear, so I am inclined to believe that it's the same one. If so, I don't know what the bear is smelling, since I hadn't been here since the last time we saw a bear at this location in the forests of Petra, Maine.
