The wildlife camera is mounted to a tree trunk on the edge of the small clearing, not far from the white-tailed deer. It is a Primos Truth Cam 35, which is triggered by a combination of body heat and movement. The whitetail deer triggered it when it entered the clearing, and again triggers it whenever it moves. When triggered, the camera is set to take a series of five photographs in rapid succession, only seconds apart, which is why the deer is in the same place in so many of the photos.
