The Maine black bear was lying down on the ground to the right of this white birch, eating a green apple. He didn't finish the apple, and you can see it lying on the ground to the right of the bear. He got up, looked off into the forest toward the left of the screen, then circled the marking tree. In this photo, he appears to be calling.
