06/01/11 Photos

This is an especially cute series of photos. If you remember, the bear was at the compost pile just before 10:00 p.m. the previous night, July 31st. He's back the next day at 6:43 p.m., not long before the sun went down. As you can see in this series of pictures, he is rubbing his head and back on the now flattened cardboard box in my compost pile. It is clear that he is quite comfortable in this place.

Although later, a couple of different bears show up in my photo collection, I believe this is the same one that has appeared on my wildlife camera in other photos and locations in Petra, Maine. He will prove to be the most commonly seen bear on our property in Maine's Aroostook County.
