Most of the one hundred acres of Petra, Maine are forested. But thirty years ago, most of the property was comprised of potato fields. Today, and for the past twenty-five years or more, all but two of the potato fields have been allowed to grow back into forests. I decided to mount the camera up on the edge of one of the potato fields, which we lease to a local grower, although they are not growing potatoes this year.
When I retrieved the disk, I found that it had recorded nearly three thousand photographs, but I found that most of them did not included anything in the way of wildlife, and the only thing that I was able to find were birds this day, although the bear shows up here on another day.
I am including the photographs that depict birds.
